They’ve been together for six months. Everyday doing nothing but kissing, talking, holding each others hands and smiling at each other. They seemed like the perfect couple…
Then distance happened and life happened. It dawned on them like reality; they had different jobs that required them both to live at different places.
He thought she would fall in love with someone else, she thought so too but ironically, she was stronger but her job took most of the time unlike his.
And so, he had time to reminisce over what she could be doing and whether or not she was even thinking about him.
Slowly, they began to drift away and slowly, they began to tell lies and slowly, they would go for hours then days without having a meaningful conversation.
She was always tired… From the job.
And he was always tired… From thinking about her.
And then he got another job that could get his mind off her. Now, remember that she wasn’t doing anything uncalled for or seeing someone else, it’s just her job.

And then he wanted to talk to her one night but she shouted at him out of anger… Why couldn’t he just understand that she was tired and that she had work the next day?
She felt he was trying to boss over her and she got mad at him, he got mad too but he told her why… Because they were not who they used to be.
She didn’t sleep that night and thought about it, she cried for her baby was gone (or so he thought). She begged him and he begged her too but somewhere deep inside, she still thought he was at fault… Somehow.
Then he kept begging until she finally forgave him for what none of them even know about. What a man, right? He was quick to do everything, quick to say I’m sorry, quick to tell her that they would get married… Someday. Quick to tell her how beautiful she looks even when he looks stunning himself. Quick to tell her what an amazing girlfriend she is.
And so he told her to stay truthful and she told him not to be afraid, she wasn’t ready to quit the job and she’s not going anywhere either because one thing he didn’t know was the fact that she sees him in her work and that’s what makes it easier and she doesn’t wanna be a liability upon him, that’s why she wants all the money in the work… To save it all for this bright and amazing future of theirs. One can have it all… Right? Your love and whatever it is that brings joy to your heart.

Lesson: Guys should learn to be more patient in a relationship, it makes your girl feel on top of the world.
