The bride was left broken hearted and their wedding was ruined after the groom saw the bride’s face for the first time during their wedding.
The couple of Medinah, Saudi Arabia, had agreed to marry each other in an arranged marriage, without having met face to face.
However, after the two walked down the aisle and the bride removed her veil for photos, her new husband was shocked by her appearance.
He said: “You are not the woman I imagined. I’m sorry but I divorce you.”
The bride immediately began to cry and guests at the wedding intervened to try to resolve the matter.
However, they were unsuccessful, as the groom was determined that he would not be able to live with her the way she looks.
People on social media sites were upset with the groom’s action.
“He should appreciate that beauty is in the character, and not the face,” one said.
“Unfortunately, many young people today are interested only in appearance and ignore values and morals,” another said.
“He is not man enough to take on his responsibilities. He is totally insensitive,” A. Nass added.
“Nobody forced him to marry her. He should have insisted on seeing her before the engagement, and not wait until the wedding night,” another pointed out. (WWWN)
